Grandmother's Kitchen
Sahel Region, Northern Uganda
Traditional millet fermentation perfected over generations...
SAHEL-NILE was born from a simple question: What if the foods that healed our ancestors could nourish modern Africa with scientific precision?
Founder & Chief Fermentation Officer
I grew up watching my grandmother ferment millet in clay pots under the Sahel sun...
During my Food Science studies, I brought samples of her fermented porridge to the lab. What we discovered was extraordinary: billions of live probiotics, iron bioavailability increased by 195%, natural B-vitamins, and prebiotic fiber.
But across Uganda, women were suffering from iron deficiency anemia while this ancestral solution sat forgotten. That’s when SAHEL-NILE was born.
"We don't need to look outside Africa for wellness. The solutions have been in our kitchens for millennia."
